Opal Email Group Notification on the Elevators

Ha ha ha... hope i don't get penalize for this.

Since we have Sunway Top Management in our Opal Damansara Email Group,

I trust the won't mind us sharing this log in and email accessibility with the rest

of the residents of Opal Damansara.

We have actually given a stack to Rizal to stick on the Notice Board,

but that was like two weeks ago. Since the growing number of residents

are increasing each day, we thought we move forward and stuck the notices up.

So last nite when visiting Opal D, we just stuck it a visible places by the elevators.

*Did u know that we have only 4 elevators for 280 units? ... well now i know-la!*

Opal Damansara Receives Certificate of Fitness (CF)

This is so awesome!! Finally, Sunway Management sent us a copy of

Opal Damansara's Certificate of Fitness!!

I'm glad that we have recieve the CF, this would most obvisouly means .....

Woo Hoo! this means we can MOVE IN!!

Minor Renovations vs Major Renovations at Opal Damansra

Here's some additional info on how Opal Damanasara classifies Major Renovations and Minor Renovations.

For both minor or major renovations, you will still have to raise the Renovations APplication & Deposit Refund Form, BUT you will only need to pay a RM1000 refundable deposit if you do a Major Renovation, if its minor then no charge. *



Major Renovation
Works which include

• Masonry
• Brick Laying
• Cement Plastering
• Built-in-Kitchen Cabinets, Cupboards & Wardrobes
• Sanitary Fittings
• Plaster Ceiling
• Electrical Wiring
• Plumbing
• Polishing of Floors
• Installation of Grills

Minor Renovation
Works include

• Fixing of Lightings
• Carpeting
• Painting
• Air Conditioner installation

* Oh yes, they also charge a RM50 administration fee for an approved renovation.

Looking for Showroom at Opal Damansara?

Also yesterday whilst walking from the Management Office to Block A, a gentleman (and that's because he was wearing a tie), approached me.

He said if u are not rushing to move into Opal Damansara, they will have a Showroom Unit available for us to view by 3rd Week July.

His name is Yeo ... and am attaching their cards and information below. They are from B&M Renovation works. (ain't getting any commission from this, just thought it would be useful info for some of u who need to get your second or third quotes for price comparision)

Telekom Coming in End August 2007

Was speaking with Rizal yesterday on when would Telekom (and Streamyx) be coming in.

He said in his last meeting with Telekom (early July), they told him that Telekom would only be in sometime in August to late August!!

So for those of u moving in early ... make sure u have your Mobile Phone ready! :)


pssst ... anyone know when Astro is ready? I see the plug points are all there ... is it already available? And do we need to pay to activate it? Or Free? hmmmm ....

Opal Damansara Address

Ha!! This happened to me a few times.

Was filling up a form ... and suddenly... what's my new addresss already ah at Opal??!!

So i thot it would be good to place the address online, just in case at work need to find it, its all here! :)

Opal Damansara management has done a good job in setting the Rules, and providing the Manuals for each resident.

But knowing how most of us operate. We normally keep the Manuals at home and then when we need it we can't find the information.

Publicity for Opal Damansara Email Group

We spoke with Rizal today to see how we can help each other to promote the Opal Damansara Email Group to all the residents.

We've created a simple Flyer and have passed a stack to Rizal. We're awaiting his confirmation and hopefully we will see it up on the Notice Boards soon!

Would suggest that when you meet up with other Residents at Opal, tell them about the email group too lah! Let's build a great community there!
