Police was on a Saman Party @ Palm Springs

Was on the way home tonite an was using the road that passed thru Palm Springs Condo (Kota Damansara area), when I noticed a policeman on the road.

Initially I thought there was either an accident or a robbery at Palm Springs and the enforcement officers were here to investigate!

Then i noticed that there was FOUR policeman holding a pad of paper

and walking up and down the road infront of Palm Springs.

For those of you who don't know but the road all around Palm Springs

are always filled with parked cars by the road side. And it is illegal, as there

are yellow lines that are along those roads.

There were easily hundreds of cars parked outside the Palm Springs Condo

And it was like a Saman Party, where the Police Officers were walking from one car

to the next and issuing samans (Parking Fines) to all the cars that were illegally parked there.

If you loooook really close you will see a Policeman writing a Saman

in between the two cars!!

I hope the residents of Palm Springs would stop parking their cars on the roadside.

They will continue to park there despite the saman, I mean where can they go? Try being pushed to a corner and no where to go.

Well, you cant really blame them for parking there, I dont really mind too, just as long as they dont park too far out and block the road. What I really find disturbing, is how Palm Spring's Management handles its rubbish collection. Why do they have to leave the rubbish outside? Why not keep it in the structure that they had already built?

point noted on everyones comments but the fact still remains that is is a NERVE ROAD.....a MAIN road access for us all. It causes such a bad jam during peak hours. Can we get to the right people who can do soemthing about it? Anyone knows the contact?

I happen to chance upon your blog and read this post.

I was taken aback by your inconsideration on this issue of parking outside the condo. I failed to understand why would anyone failed to understand the fact that those who parked by the roadside did so as a last resort, and not for the sake of convenience.

When I scroll up and observe the name Opal Damansara, then all questions answered. You just don't give a shit, DO YOU?

What is illegal, is illegal. And no, even though I do not stay at either location, I believe those who say that they park because they have no choice do have a choice. They have a choice to stay somewhere else. They have a choice not to buy/rent the property from the start. They have a choice whether they investigated the facilities including parking lots before they decided on staying at PS. They have a choice of moving a class action suit if the management/developer/agents misled them. They have a choice to petition the local councils to delineate parking lots by the road to enable some form of legal parking (but not double parking). They have a choice of renting/buying extra parking lots. They have a choice of risking it and paying the fines. Who said you have no choices? People like Kakiayam are typically selfish people looking after only their own conveniences, and no excuse will cover this. This attitude is what landed our country in such deep shit in the first place.

And no, the people staying at OPAL and paid shitloads of money they worked hard to earn to pay for a premium area with legal parking lots do not care for your selfish convenience, and neither should they have to.

I am a resident from palm spring, as u all can c that PS had 6 residential block and the car park provided really insufficient. Most of the units here only have 1 parking lot that is y so many residents have to park outside and receive summons from MBPJ and Police in every 2 days which i think they also do not wish to but they have no choice( all parking lots in palm spring has been rented out ) .I am very lucky that i managed to rent a carpark if not i ll be one of them ( I moved in Jan,2007 and i rented the parking lot half a year b4 i move in ).

So sorry to Opal and Cita residents, i know it is really unfair to u all but the rsidents here really have no choice.Hope for your understanding.
