Initially I thought there was either an accident or a robbery at Palm Springs and the enforcement officers were here to investigate!
Then i noticed that there was FOUR policeman holding a pad of paper
and walking up and down the road infront of Palm Springs.
For those of you who don't know but the road all around Palm Springs
are always filled with parked cars by the road side. And it is illegal, as there
are yellow lines that are along those roads.
There were easily hundreds of cars parked outside the Palm Springs Condo
And it was like a Saman Party, where the Police Officers were walking from one car
to the next and issuing samans (Parking Fines) to all the cars that were illegally parked there.
If you loooook really close you will see a Policeman writing a Saman
in between the two cars!!
I hope the residents of Palm Springs would stop parking their cars on the roadside.

THE delay in completing the Lebuh Bandar Utama flyover that connects BU11 and BU12 to the central part of the township is making the Bandar Utama residents very unhappy.
The Sony flyover, as it is commonly referred to because of its location next to what was previously the Sony building, was supposed to have been completed last month.
According to a BU11 resident who declined to be named, construction work was not consistent, carried out only on certain days.
Bandar Utama Residents Association (BURA) chairman Tan Ban Loong said that the site management was badly handled.
“There are many potholes along the flyover that motorists have to avoid, causing traffic to be backed up. The place is in a mess,” Tan said.
During a meeting with Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Yong Dai Ying last month, the Bandar Utama residents voiced out their discontentment with the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) over the lack of scrutiny on the project.
According to MBPJ public relations director Haniza Abdul Hamid, the contractor Pembinaan Bukit Timah is scheduled to complete the flyover before the end of the year.

I am was informed by Nancy that the Opal Damansara management have installed a water filter at the main water inlet for the entire condominium complex!!!
I was very glad to hear that we now have clean water coming into our homes and into all areas of Opal Damansara.
So you can't wait to go check it out for yourself??

Where is this Water Filter located?
The next time you drive down the ramp from the multi-storey car park
Turn your head to the right as soon as your car reaches the tar road.
You will see a silver gleaming large looking canister at the far right end of wall
If you were to walk closer to it.
You will see its located at the corner of the right wall at
the far end of this walkway.
(by the way lots of empty carton boxes stored in this area)
Its a BACFREE Water Filter, and its HUGE!
I guess it needs to be of a certain size in order to ensure all
our water is being kept clean at all times.
Was trying to look for a label to determine how many gallons or litre
the BACFREE filter holds ... but the only instrcutions was
for mere Operations of the Water Filter.
As you can see there are lots of taps and pipes leading
into the wall, so i guess this is where all the water are filtered and cleaned!
I am sure we are all thankful that we now have a Water Filter
to keep the water that we use clean and free from bacteria! (that's what BACFREE means rite?)

The Pool Deck Chair looks great and "new too" of course! :)
The Chairs are spread out around the Pool Side.
At the moment we only have 6 Pool Deck Chairs.
We hear that there are more coming soon! Coolness! :)

Did you know this? We just spotted this on one of the Notice Boards in Opal Damansara.
Well in case you can't read the fine print, the Management Office of Opal Damansara declares that they are open daily from 9am to 6pm from Monday to Fridays, and therefore on Saturdays their office is closed!!
So if you're planning something for the weekend, ensure that you contact the Opal Damansara office early!!

We have noticed the presence of an excavator on the far left side of the area, closer to Cita Damansara, where the excavator have been doing some work, in clearing the grassy patch, and definitely doing something to the land there.
What are they doing?
We have not found out yet ....

You can see again that the little river that runs through, swells up to a rather larger river.
And unfortunately in the still picture above, you can't see, but the water is flowing rather fast.
One of the Water Inlet, we managed to zoom the picture.
Location is just below where the excavator is, and you can see from the white froth
where the water is gushing into this place.
Another two more water inlet. This time its closer to Opal Damansara.
Waters are entering from the drainage area from the street.

There was a heavy rain this afternoon, and you can see the
river swelling up again!!

Is this the Klang River?
Nope its actually a small stream which overflowed into a huge river during the thunderstorm / rain last Sunday!
Our concern is that the River that flows thru the backyard of Opal Damansara and Cita Damansara Condo, we hope that it will not cause any soil erosion for either of the condos!
We noticed at least more than 3 inlets where water was pouring in into this area!
On Opal Damansara side, we still had a green embankment which separated the Condo from the flooded river. But from the Cita Damansara side ... u can see the water reaching the cemented wall with only 10feet + gap!! Scarrry!!
